CTC IS SELECTED BY SEATTLE TO DEVELOP A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A FIBER-TO-THE-PREMISES (FTTP) NETWORK

The City of Seattle has awarded Columbia Telecommunications Corporation (CTC) a contract to assist the Department of Information Technology (DoIT) in writing, publishing and evaluating responses to a Request for Proposal (RFP). The RFP will solicit specific proposals from private entities to leverage City assets and other resources to build a FTTP network with private funds.

Mayor Greg Nickels is quoted on the City’s Broadband Initiative website stating, “A state of the art technology infrastructure is vital to taking Seattle into the future. We are looking for a partner who has the vision and ability to join us in this exciting endeavor.”
