Columbia Telecommunications Corporation (CTC) has been selected by Seattle City Light (SCL) to explore the risks and potential benefits of participation in the municipal broadband initiative under consideration by Mayor Greg Nickels and the Department of Information Technology (DoIT) for the City of Seattle.

CTC's work is intended to assist SCL to devise the best way by which to participate in Mayor Nickels' initiative to bring a competitive fiber broadband network to the City of Seattle.
